SUMMARY:**MUSIC POSTPONED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER** QH Flotilla with Jazz at the South Basin
DESCRIPTION:  \n⚓️ Jazz on the Lagoon Update ⚓️ \nDue to the forecast for thunderstorms and the uncertainty of where and when storms may develop this afternoon\, the orchestra has elected not to perform. Their performance requires electrical equipment\, amplifiers\, microphones\, and speakers that cannot safely be exposed to rain. \nHowever\, members are still welcome to enjoy an informal raft-up and social gathering on the lagoon. Bring your favorite wine\, cheese\, and snacks\, and enjoy an afternoon with fellow members if the weather permits. \nWe look forward to rescheduling the orchestra for a future date with better weather! \n  \n____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nSettle in for a one-of-a-kind afternoon on the water where live jazz meets laid-back luxury. \nJoin us on Sunday\, May 31 from 3:00–5:00 PM for a floating concert experience featuring the Raisin Cake Orchestra\, performing from the dock of Wayne Waters and Tegie Martin at 688 Hawks Trace Drive. Designed as a boat-only event\, members will gather by water\, anchoring and rafting together to create a relaxed\, social atmosphere with incredible live music. \nThe Raisin Cake Orchestra delivers the lively sounds and rhythms of traditional and New Orleans jazz—think upbeat brass\, toe-tapping rhythms\, and classic melodies that carry beautifully across the water. The band will perform two 50-minute sets with a short intermission in between. \nWe’ve intentionally scheduled this as an afternoon event so everyone can enjoy the music comfortably on the water—no battling the evening gnats\, just great weather\, great company\, and great jazz. In the event of rain\, the concert will be rescheduled. \nEvent Details: \n\n📍 Location: Dock of Wayne Waters & Tegie Martin (boat access only) QH South Basin\n🗓️ Date & Time: Sunday\, May 31\, 2026 3:00–5:00 PM\n🚤 Arrival: By boat only—guests will anchor and raft together nearby\n🎶 Music: Raisin Cake Orchestra – Traditional & New Orleans Jazz\n⏱️ Performance: Two 50-minute sets with a short break\n\nRegistration: \n\nBringing your own boat?
